I’d like to recommend Jaron Lanier’s essay Digital Maoism: The Hazards of the New Online Collectivism in Edge magazine. Lanier points out that we’re willing to accept lots of stupid pseudo-ideas when they’re dressed-up in technology. “Intelligent Design” is one, and I’d suggest “Network Neutrality” is another.
